Our Non-Understanding of Everything [Artistic Lecture and Video Screening]
The interdisciplinary art collective eteam from New York has long been dedicated to digital media, installation art, and community engagement projects. They are adept at using various mediums such as video, participatory installations, etc. to explore the contradictions and coexistence between human senses and technological advancements, while continually addressing cultural, social, and environmental issues.
Since 2022, eteam has been developing a video series titled Our Non-Understanding of Everything. By observing everyday events and exploring the potential future forms of digital devices and their components, the series investigates how contemporary architectural structures, semiconductors, and circuits can serve as modes of expression, reflecting issues of power hierarchies, cognitive processes, and the relationship between humanity and the natural environment.
This lecture will feature screenings of three selected works from the Our Non-Understanding of Everything series. After the screening, eteam will share their creative concepts and practical experiences, and invite participants to engage in a dialogue and exchange of ideas.

Speaker Introduction
eteam was founded in 2001 by Hajoe Moderegger and Franziska Lamprecht. Moderegger is Director and Professor of the Digital and Interdisciplinary Art Practice (DIAP) MFA Program at the City College in New York, also one of the Fulbright senior scholars who joins exchange program in Taiwan. eteam’s artistic practice combines extensive research, social engagement, and a spirit of cooperation to construct humorous and thought-provoking narrative frameworks. Through their work, they explore how technology, space, and community intertwine and influence each other, shaping a distinctive landscape of digital art.
eteam’s works have been exhibited at venues such as the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien (MUMOK) in Vienna and the Centre Georges-Pompidou in Paris, among others. They have received numerous accolades, including support from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. In February 2020, eteam collaborated with Nightboat Books to publish the novel Grabeland.
