Did video art started from Exposition of Music-Electronic Television, South Korean artist Nam June Paik’s solo exhibition in 1963? Or is it due to the emergence of SONY Portapak in 1967? Or TV as a Creative Medium, an exhibition organized by Howard Wise Gallery in 1969? In this lecture, we invite renowned curator Mr. Olaf Stüber to interpret history of video art with concrete examples, through his observation on the development of video art. And further inspire our understanding and discussion on video art.
